Barend
Barend is situated near the Solway Coast and is in a lovely setting. There are lots of holiday chalets nearby available to rent. It is also close to Sandyhills beach. You really need a car to access it. There is a bus service , but it is not availble in the evenings.The food is fairly traditional/typical bar food. The menu does vary with some dishes not always being available and very limited vegetarian selection. It did seem as though some of the food had been pre-prepared or was frozen as opposed to fresh. A bit disappointing really.
